Quality Assurance Support
The ACT PSC offers Quality Assurance Support to children’s services in the ACT. Quality Assurance Support is collaborative assistance facilitated by a professional consultant. The consultant will work with the service to further develop their capacity to obtain and maintain the standards set by the National Childcare Quality Assurance Systems. This includes support for those services wishing to review an Accreditation decision.
Some strategies used in this support include:
- On site visits
- Phone support
- Quarterly QA meetings
The quarterly QA meeting is facilitated by a professional consultant and provides a forum where participants can discuss issues, share ideas and resources and connect with other educators.
Costs and Registration
QA Meetings:
- The quarterly QA meeting are a free service offered to ACT eligible services.
On site and Phone Support:
- Services that have received a not accredited decision from NCAC – 5 free hours ($25.00 per hour after if further support is required)
- Newly registered services – 5 free hours ($25.00 per hour after if further support is required)
- Services requiring support appealing a not accredited decision by NCAC – $25.00 per hour
- An accredited service self referring – $25.00 per hour
